OpenAI is pulling an Apple 2008. They just turned ChatGPT into a platform with apps running directly inside the chat.
You can now say "Spotify, make me a focus playlist" or "Zillow, show me homes under $400k in Austin" and the apps appear instantly with interactive results.
Full apps rendering inside ChatGPT, no tabs or downloads needed.
When Apple launched the App Store, early apps like iFart made $10k per day. Koi Pond pulled in $600k. Angry Birds hit $200M+. They printed money because they had zero competition.
ChatGPT has 800 million weekly users - nearly 10x the iPhone's user base at App Store launch. Even capturing 0.01% means 80,000 customers.
