Morning beautiful people,

A few interesting things have happened this week… let me get you up to speed.

📌 TL;DR

  • Interrupt ChatGPT thinking → You can now interrupt ChatGPT and add extra context while it's in thinking mode.

  • Nanobanana 2 leaked → looks fucking insane. full release is imminent.

  • Microsoft launched their image model → From first glimpses, it looks like a solid all-round option for image generation.

  • Sora 2 app → released for android.

  • Notebook LM got an upgrade → quizzes, flashcards, goals, and a bigger context window

ChatGPT lets you interrupt its thinking now

You can now stop ChatGPT mid-answer and add new context without restarting.

Works in Deep Research and ChatGPT Pro.

If you've ever watched ChatGPT think away for two minutes only to realise you forgot a key detail, this saves the reset. Course-correct on the fly instead of waiting for an answer you don't need.

Most people on X are skipping Deep Research now anyway. GPT-5's thinking mode is fast enough that the trade-off isn't worth it.

Nano Banana 2 just leaked (and it looks wild)

Google's Nano Banana 2 apparently went live by accident for a few hours today on some platforms. A handful of users got in, and the results look insane.

Nano Banana is already Google's best image gen model (and its fucking phenomenal might I add).

If the leaked outputs are real, version 2 is a serious jump. Full release looks imminent in the next week or so… stay tuned.

Microsoft just launched their own image model

Microsoft released MAI-Image-1, a new text-to-image model built entirely in-house.

I’m going to post a deeper breakdown next week on my YouTube, but from first impressions…

MAI-Image-1 is a strong new contender for general purpose image gen, but lacks image-editing or image-to-image capabilities, and struggles with text, logos and branding.

I tested this new model out side by side against Nanobana.

NotebookLM shipped some quality upgrades last week

NotebookLM is Google's AI tool for learning and research. If you want to see what it can do, I recorded a full demo here.

It now uses the full 1M context of Gemini models, so you get 8x longer context for documents and 6x longer chats.

You can also give each notebook a goal now (studying, research, marketing assistant) to tailor its responses. Flashcards and quiz generation were added too, so you can turn notes or uploaded sources into study materials.

Also… Google CEO, Sundar Pichai, shared that Gemini has over 650M monthly users now (compared to ChatGPT’s roughly 800M+).

💡 Prompt of the week

I’ve recently been loving outputs when I tell AI to use a conversational spartan tone. This is the perfect tone for work emails.

Try it out. Next to you’re writing something, add the below prompt on.

Use a Conversational Spartan tone

🛠 Tools to try

  • OpenArt → One hub for all the top AI image + video models, with tools to train custom characters and keep them consistent. Access all the best AI models for content creation in one place, with one subscription.

  • Prompt Cowboy → Turn your lazy prompts into great ones

  • Wispr flow → best voice-to-text dictation app. saves me 2+ hours a week easily - I don’t really even type any more.

  • Pomelli → Google Labs are cranking out some amazing work. Pomelli lets you go from your website link to custom ads you can tweak or regenerate in less than 3 minutes. Great for ideation.
